It’s a burger that tastes like beef but is made from plants, so it’s way better for the planet.

What’s in it?

It’s primarily made from soy protein, potato protein, coconut oil, and heme (the molecule that gives meat its color and flavor).

About the Impossible Burger

The Impossible Burger is remarkably more efficient when compared to beef and uses 95% less land, 74% less water and creates 87% less greenhouse gas emissions. To put it into perspective that’s equal to one 10-minute shower, 14 driving miles, and 75 square feet of land.

Is it vegan?

It’s for meat-lovers, but it’s ok for vegans too. The Impossible Burger is plant-based, but don’t call it “vegan” or “fake” or “faux” anything. It’s meat made from plants. The Impossible Burger offered at Wahlburgers is as vegetarian as we can make it.

Does it contain allergens?

It’s plant-based, nut-free, and dairy-free. It contains soy.

How does it taste so good?

The Impossible Burger’s recipe is a result of five years of researching every aspect of meat. The meaty flavor comes from a combination of ingredients, but mainly it comes from heme – a molecule found in all living things that gives meat (and our burger) its unmistakably meaty flavor.

Nutritionally, how does it compare to beef?

The Impossible Burger matches the levels of protein found in beef and is an excellent source of iron. 4oz of the uncooked Impossible Burger has 0mg cholesterol with 14g of total fat, which is 35% less fat than 80/20 ground beef.
